"He didn't buy it," Bailey said when Rafe came up to his suite after taking Raymond and Darla on the tour. They'd loved the place and the idea that his image would be the face of more resorts like the Heathcliff Blue Falls Resort. Rafe knew the only thing holding Raymond back was Rafe's situation.

"He might have," Rafe said, and Bailey was shaking her head that was wrapped up in a towel. She had taken her shower the moment Rafe had come in but must have heard River screaming because she'd come out to help before getting ready. His mouth had gone dry when Bailey had walked out of his guest room, and although she was completely and modestly covered in a robe from her neck to below her knees (it was more fabric than any dress Ariel had ever worn), there was something so intimate about seeing her in that situation.

Rafe cleared his mind and turned his attention back to River. And weren't they having a conversation? He'd said something that had made sense, right?

"He didn't. I think we need to step up our game," Bailey said.

He needed Bailey to be fully-clothed before talking about any kind of game stepping up, especially because upping their game meant there was sure to be more touching involved. He was all for that, but he wasn't a saint. Talking about touching Bailey...she needed to finish getting ready.

"I've got her," Rafe said as he took the bottle Bailey had prepared and began feeding River. "You can go get ready."

"Are you sure?" Bailey asked, and Rafe was nodding before she finished her question. He needed her out of his sight immediately, for his sanity's sake.

"Thanks," Bailey said as she went back into the guest room and shut the door.

Rafe blew out a sigh and looked down at River. "First piece of advice from me, little one. Don't ever get fake married."

River didn't seem to notice he was bestowing important information, and she continued to suck on her bottle. Rafe had her burped and changed when a knock sounded on the door to his suite.

"Rafe?" he heard Emma's voice call out.

"Coming," Rafe said, opening the door while cradling River.

Emma came in carrying a huge play mat in one hand and dragging a swing behind her with the other. "There is no way she'll get bored tonight," Emma said as she began to turn Rafe's living area into a baby play room.

"You've come prepared," Rafe said, working hard not to laugh at his sister. She was taking her new role of aunt to heart, and he didn't want to discourage her. "Did Dad pawn off babysitting duties?"

"We're splitting the night," Emma said, looking around the room at her handy work and smiling. "I think she'll love it. Come here, River." Emma took River from Rafe's arms, and he was surprised at how eager Emma was. "Dad will be here at eight thirty. I figured I would come a little early and give you some time to get ready.
